Abstract
This paper deals with the so-called cult of Sekhmet-Sahure. The nature, the function and the origins of Sekhmet-Sahure are examined and interpreted under several aspects, mainly in the light of the results of excavation activities around the causeway of Sahure, led by the Egyptian mission in Abusir, directed by the autor of this article, and of the unpublished photo archive of L. Borchardt.
