Abstract
Four Neo-Assyrian cylinder seals were discovered in excavations carried out in 1984–1985 by Polish archaeologists on the site of Tell Rijim in northern Iraq. The seals came from surface and sub-surface layers corresponding to a small Assyrian farm. Based on style and iconography, the assemblage, which is a random sample coming from a village context, can be dated to the eighth century BC in general.
