Abstract

The article deals with two plaques found together in Edfu, now in the National Museum in Warsaw, belonging to the category of the so-called sculptors’ models/votives. The first one is decorated with two images of King Amasis and a figure of an enigmatic falcon creature. An attempt on identifying the meaning of this scene follows. The other, unfinished plaque presents the rather common scene of the divine child protected by winged uraei.
